Day 12 –Thursday
Today had our very first weekly presentation to the class. Its been a while since there’s presentation. Well it does feel a little nervous in a way or two. However it went alright in the end. Yesterday night brainstorm with Chewyin ( my group mate) before we come out with a solution to the design intention. There’s more research, brain-storming and thinking skills to be applied after the review by Mr Jonathan Ho. Had a really short lesson from 9 until 11am where we need to leave for an early lunch for the upcoming tour to a food centre to gain our knowledge in terms of how Dalian works industrially. Last week was to more a design-based visit thus this week we switch to a more chemical-life-science based to fit into the CLS students. It’s about being open-mind and learn new stuff coming in.
We went over to a food centre to visit on the process of making a packed food. We arrived at Doerie after an one hour bus ride. Where I took the time to snap some travelling photos ( through the bus ride) and of course to rest well for the night before. Waited for while as groups entered the process place turn by turn. Gotten a chance to wear the lap coat and went through a series of hygiene wash-out before entering the actual place. (in which it turned out that we didn’t really enter the REAL working place. We were just merely standing within a glass room to view the actual working area. And it only lasted like 5 minutes. However its still interesting in a way or two.

P.s White coat people have their evil side.

After everything was done and about. We went back to our hostel. The initial idea of our dinner would be on pizza hut, however due to some changes, we headed to our nearby residential place to have our dinner together with Rachael and Wang lan. Had wan tan mee (which wasn’t much appealing to me after several mouthful taste). However the xiao long bao was delicious( as it has the homely feel of eating a chicken bao=D).

Oh i Missed so much of char siew bao
However the taste is totally different.
However both were delicious as well.
Went back to hostel. Bathed and saw this series of fireworks by our fellow CLS students. It went really loud. However the explosive moments of the sparks wouldn’t that appealing though. Well at least in Dalian, one get to experience such stuff as and when. In Singapore it definitely a no-no.
hey, seems like u're having a great time there !=) Enjoy ur days there! =) Take care
